Meta to charge whopping 47.5% fee on virtual assets
Creators that make and sell digital assets in Meta’s Horizon World are set to earn less than expected - with Zuck making mega buck off any deal.
The tech giant plans to take a cut of up to 47.5% - after Facebook's parent company announced a shop within its digital world. It didn't mention how much it would be thieving though.
A spox said the cut taken on transactions is meant to cover a "hardware platform fee" of 30% and then a Horizon Worlds fee of 17.5%.
A virtual steal.
