Mohammed bin Salman reportedly went off at national security advisor Jake Sullivan when he brought up the assassination of the journalist Jamal Khashoggi during their first meeting under Biden in office.

The prince initially wanted to go for a “relaxed tone” during the meeting, but “ended up shouting” at Sullivan.

He allegedly told Sullivan that the matter of Khashoggi should never be discussed again, adding that the US “could forget about its request to boost oil production”.

Some of the children in the UK have required specialist care at liver units and a few have needed a liver transplant.

Public health officials have stressed they do not believe the illness is due to Covid vaccinations.
