Protesters were wearing Guy Fawkes inspired by the graphic novel and film V for Vendetta. Signs demanding the release of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, wanted by the United States over alleged espionage, could be seen at the location as well as ‘Anarchy’ flags and signs against lockdown restrictions andCOVID-19 measures.

The march is an annual event on Bonfire Night, the anniversary of Guy Fawkes attempt to blow up the British Houses of Parliament.

Fraudsters are reportedly scheming to leave near-zero trace by asking victims to use cryptocurrency ATMs and QR codes - making it harder to recover financial losses.

The Bureau's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) posted this warning:

"The FBI has seen an increase in scammers directing victims to use physical cryptocurrency ATMs and digital QR codes to complete payment transactions."

One tactic flagged up was online impersonation claiming to be a govt, law enforcement or company representative. It's said criminals have also increased using so-called romance schemes to establish a relationship.

AT&T and Verizon planned to light up new 5G networks that use C-band frequencies on Dec. 5th. That rollout will now be delayed until at least Jan 5th, the firms said Thursday.

The two companies collectively spent nigh on $70BN earlier this year to gain licenses for C-band spectrum that was up for auction. Shares of Verizon fell 2.1% and AT&T declined 1.5% Thursday - while broader US stock indexes were mixed.

Tow criminals are taking legal action in the nation over same-day executions, demanding over $190,000 in compensation. Capital punishment in Japan is done by hanging, and prisoners are told hours before - a tradition being dubbed "inhumane."

Rights groups say it's damaging for mental health and that prisoners "live in fear" that each day is their last - because they can't prepare for death. More than 100 people are said to be on death row, but no executions have taken place for almost two years.
