The campaign to blacken #Russia in the eyes of the developing world has kicked off. Moscow will be named a scapegoat for what was caused by the Western sanctions, which disrupted logistics and limited the export of seeds and fertilizers from Russia.
The fact that by far most of the Global South or the world outside of the Euro-Atlantic were reluctant to align with Washington on sanctions against Moscow, could not go unnoticed. The nascent food crisis thus is used, just as the hike in gasoline prices in the US was - to put the blame on Putin, and attempt to sway the public opinion against Russia.
The problem is it will not save the people from starving, whereas lifting the sanctions could.
