Rising costs across the board is one resultant effect of the COVID19 pandemic. The adverse impact on transport and shipping lines results in escalating prices of raw materials.

The Government will delay the planned GST hike to 2023 and stagger the increase in two steps. The first increase from 7% to 8% will take place on Jan 1, 2023, and the second increase from 8% to 9% will take place Jan 1, 2024.

Despite the rising costs and upcoming GST hikes - announced in the Budget speech, the keen focus was largely on supporting workers and families. This GST Assurance Package which aims to offset at least 5 years of additional GST expenses for most, and about 10 years for lower-income households.

Another effort to support families is a S$560 million Household Support Package to help families with bills, daily essentials and education.

Dear Driver-partners,
Following MOH’s announcement on 16th February 2022 [https://www.moh.gov.sg/.../resetting-our-measures-to-live...], the mandatory Fast Easy Testing (FET) Rostered Routine Testing (RRT) for P2P sector will cease from this Friday, 18 Feb 2022. P2P drivers will no longer be required to declare their weekly Antigen Rapid Test (ART) results.
The RRT regime will be streamlined to focus only on settings catering to vulnerable groups.
Please continue to exercise personal responsibility and conduct regular self-testing, especially prior to visiting crowded places or interacting with vulnerable groups.

2022-02-13 08:27:58 Supposedly one of Singapore’s best Char Kway Teow. I paid $8 ($6 + $2 for cockles) for a plate of salty, savory fried noodles with a tinge of sweetness.

There was lup cheong, fish cakes and fresh cockles - everything a plate of Char Kway Teow should have. The noodles were served piping hot. However, I just felt that the aroma and wok hei was lacking in some regard. Different from my visit 2 years ago.
