Rickroll What does rickroll mean?
To trick someone into watching a Rick Astley music video Rickroll is when a person fools someone into clicking a webpage link that leads to Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" music video from 1987. It has become popular as a fun way to troll other Internet users.
The term originates from duckroll, a prank where a person submits a link that appears to lead to a news story or something relevant but instead leads to a picture of a duck with wheels. Rickroll may also be used as a more general term for misleading or tricking someone but is much less common.
Example "Hey check out this link to this sweet car. I don't believe you, you're just gonna rickroll me again." ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ➠@PhrasalCards ➠@SlangWords ➠@IdiomsLand ➠@Vocabulix ➠@GrammarCards ➠@EnglishGate ➠@StoryPage
