In response to the Democratic Alliance's statement that they "will arrest Putin if he sets foot in the Western Cape," the Ranking Member of the US' Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Republican Senator Jim Risch, tweeted:
"It's good to see some leaders in #SouthAfrica speaking openly & without ambiguity about #Putin's visit to their country. This kind of honest gov't leadership is desperately needed to build the U.S.-South Africa relationship."
