Contractual workers of the state-owned Punjab Roadways/Punbus | Sputnik News India
Contractual workers of the state-owned Punjab Roadways/Punbus started a three-day statewide strike on Monday, demanding regularisation of their work.
"We have been working for the last 13-14 years. They had promised to regularise us within three years. But we are still contractual employees", said the president of the workers' union, Baljeet Singh Gill.
The protests are scheduled to be held from 8 a.m. until noon each day. During these four hours, no buses will operate at any bus station.
