Pastor Guthrie provided me with a much needed word of encouragement, and a sober reminder of how critical it is that we share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
My days are numbered. So are yours.
We were reminded that the Apostle Paul, first and foremost, considered himself to be a bond-servant of God. Did he have authority? Yes. But it took the form of a lowly servant.
Our culture is consumed with self promotion, and social media platform building.
Paul was concerned with, or better yet, consumed with, ensuring everyone knew about the "good news."
Paul's gospel message did not change or conform to the world's based on the hardship of his circumstances.
Whether it was a flogging, ship wreck, or imprisonment, he preached Christ, and had the words of eternal life on his lips.
Paul realized that we must hold an eternal perspective. What we do today matters in a profound way.
Do not waste your life.
Fight for audits.
Fight the jab.
But most importantly, preach Christ's gospel as you go.
