— Minister of Defense receives visit from the Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Brazil
The Minister of Defense, Paulo Sergio, received on Tuesday (14), in his office, the visit of a committee led by the Chargé d'Affaires of the U.S. Embassy and Consulates in Brazil, Douglas Koneff. At the opening of the meeting, the Minister reinforced the historical partnership between Brazil and the USA in several areas, highlighting the victorious participation of the Brazilian Expeditionary Force (FEB), which fought alongside American troops in World War II.
During the meeting, several topics were discussed, among them, joint military operations, international agreements and, in particular, the agreements on Technological Safeguards and Research, Development, and Technology Exchange, and Cooperation in the South Atlantic region.
