2021-08-31 12:20:38 https://www.thenational.scot/news/19546809.uk-government-told-use-empty-mod-homes-house-afghan-refugees/

Thank you to Bonnie Lad for bringing this to my attention.

Earlier this year it was revealed that 10,661 MoD homes were empty across the UK, with 871 unused in Scotland.
Siobhian Brown (below), SNP MSP for Ayr, has said the empty houses can be used to house families in South Ayrshire and that the area is ready to accept and welcome Afghan families.

So families who can’t get social housing because “there aren’t enough houses” couldn’t be offered these ones before now ? Why is it when our people are in need there isn’t enough resources, not enough services, not enough houses, not enough funding, and the government insist on cutting funding however the minute people not native to this land appear on the beaches and tarmacs there is resources, services, houses, funding, and money to go around like disco biscuits at an illegal rave. The absolute resentment and weasel like behaviour of the elected to our own has been on the wall for some time, it just gets more brazen and direct as the days and months past. There is no point in my opinion in writing, emailing or engaging with your MP & MSP they will hit you with a piss poor global script they all sing from. The system isn’t for people like me and you and in many ways i don’t think it ever was, the only thing i ask you brothers and sisters is to be as one, be kind to one another, do your part for each other when you can. We only ever need each other.

2021-08-29 11:04:15 Random bit of early Irish history to look into is Eber Finn and Erímon. When the Milesians first took over Ireland they split the country in two, roughly in a line from Galway to Dublin.

After the loss at the Battle of Kinsale and the collapse of the traditional royal heirarchy, the Geneaologists in the country had a bitter arguement about who was the correct person from the correct family lineage to install as the Gaelic monarch. This period was known as the Contention of the Bards.

Tradition says the last gathering of the Gaelic Bards took place in a village in Wales in the 1700s, they gathered up all the collected works they knew and stored them together. The O'Byrne was a clan who had been sent on the run from Ireland with several ancient works. The Legend is they were all buried in a hillside, as even Wales was being subjected to harsh pro-Williamite policies at the time.

Funny quirks of Gaelic social life and custom how all this played out.

BBCNI news had northern MLAs on discussing this for 10 mins. A literal effing buslane. Its not ready to be up and running until September 2027 either. We think we're hard up in the South
