Happy 57th birthday, Singapore!
Today is an opportunity for us to reflect on how far we have come as a city and how we can bring Singapore forward to new and brighter horizons.
One way we are doing so is planning for the next 50 years and beyond for areas such as the Paya Lebar Air Base site in the Long-Term Plan Review. After the air base relocates, we could develop a new generation town where its unique past could be integral to its future development.
It could include:
A major job node with diverse, connected, and creative spaces
Distinctive districts anchored on its rich heritage
Green and blue spaces weaved into the new town
