Andy Baan, Republican Candidate for Congress , 2ND District signed his Election Defender pledge today!
I am grateful for the chance to sign this pledge.
We must insist on election integrity, because without it, we are not governing ourselves--which is the gift the Founders gave us in the form of the Declaration and the Constitution.
There is another point as well. Our form of government, where sovereignty rests with the people, is under attack from other nations with other systems. I am thinking of China in particular. We are competing with them for influence in the world and we will win if we show that our system is better than their authoritarianism. So we must do everything we can to ensure faith in our elections, for ourselves, and also for the rest of the world to see.
