//UPDATE on BRAVO FIRE//
We’ve had lightning in the area this morning and near record highs. Not a good combination given the fire behavior we have already seen. Here is the Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) just west of the FLG airport.
Good news is there are a lot of air assets in the state and they’re being aggressive in their initial attack on these wildland fires. They put 8 slurry bombers on the Camp Navajo fire yesterday afternoon. That is the most we’ve seen on one fire in a long time. As of late yesterday, we had four Type I heavy fire helos (two Skycranes and two Blackhawks) that we’re supporting out of our FLG airport.
