#TREASURE • Anothe one fine Tuesday have already came with so much bliss approached each of us. The next episode of
Find Your Korea has also been released along with the joyous summer breeze which hits our bodies. This time, another four members of TREASURE are ready to introduce you the next tourist county in South Korea that you have to visit once in your lifetime; the city of cultural art,
Jeollabuk-do Jeonju! This is a city full of traditional aspects with many cultural properties such as Hanok (
a traditional Korean house) and Hanji (
traditional handmade paper from Korea). As the title of this city itself, Jeonju is really known with its cultural art especially the
Jeonju Hanok Village, an area of traditional houses that were built to commemorate the past of South Korea.
As the first time the four of us; Hyunsuk, Yoshi, Jeongwoo, and Junghwan stepped our feet at this city, we visit the
Wansan Park's Kkotdongsan Garden as the first destination. This place is Jeonju's representative flower observatory where more than 10.000 trees with flowers in bloom boasts off their beauty in this mind-relaxing park. With the beautiful views, this place is also known for the Layered Cherry Blossoms which makes this place more special than the other parks.
The second place that we are going to introduce to you is the main destination of this tour, which is one of the most-visit place in
Jeonju's Hanok Village,
Korea's Playground Marudal. In this most representative historic tourist spot, you can experience many traditional activities with your loved ones such as playing the
jegichagi games, slap-match a.k.a
ttakji,
gonggi, and many more to do. We really recommend you to visit this place once you go to Jeonju because you can feel the excitement of the past Korean people here.
Talking about the traditional things of South Korea, we can't just pass on the traditional clothes of this country, right? So, in this place as well, you all can have an experience of wearing the
Hanbok costumes which have been prepapred by the traditional stores in Jeonju! We also gave a try in wearing the
Hanbok while exploring the city together, and went to a place which highly recommended to be visited by all of you. That was the
GyeonggiJeon which has the meaning ‘palace built on a hilly land’ and has the portrait of Joseon King, Yi Seonggye. This place has a lot of photo zones with the breathtaking views, and you can enjoy this place to make your friendship become stronger or just come here with your loved ones.
It's food time! Many people said that Jeonju is really famous with its Bibimbap that's different from the other places. So, that's why we explored Jeonju's food places and decided to eat the special
Jeonju's Bibimbap here. We are highly recommend you to give a try in this place if you come here later because you will never regret your choice. And the last destination that we visit when the night of Jeonju arrives and gave us the even more beautiful view than the daytime, we were walking down the memory lane of 70s and 80s at the place named
Jeonjunanjang. This is an experimental museum which has many things you could find on the 70s and 80s such as the schools, bookstores, and any other retro vibes which can please your eyes.
In this episode as well, we invite you all to do the given missions which are the same from the previous episode; take pictures while doing the same pose as TREASURE at the same locations. You will get the chance to win ‘
Hapjuseon’, which is the craft work representative of Jeonju, traditional paper fan which has the spirit of artwork masters, and also ‘
Danseon’ also known as the round fan with bells in it. You can check the official sites of
Korea Tourist Organization for more information about the event. We are already in the fourth episode of
Find Your Korea, and it means it's only one city left to be explored by your lovely jewels TREASURE. Aren't you excited to find out the last destination of this special project, Treasure Makers? Please wait for more in the next Tuesday. We'll see you there!
