When I was in New York, I went into a Korean Restaurant to have some soup.
Almost all the employees were Korean/Asian.
The waitress, a Korean girl who spoke perfect English, asked me if I had ever eaten Kimchi.
I said “ I am from Uzbekistan and yes we have it quite a lot, I love Kimchi” to which she said
“ oh that’s great! I was born in Uzbekistan!
But then we moved to Russia when I was little and now we are in the States. “
I doubt if she spoke Uzbek, but she was so nice. She treated me with free drink, didn’t include the tea and a can of soda on the bill, although I didn’t ask for it. It’s always good to meet nice people, I wish her the best.
