Artsakh State Minister Artak Beglaryan responded to Aliyev's l | RE:PUBLIC PRESS

Artsakh State Minister Artak Beglaryan responded to Aliyev's latest attacks on Artsakh made at the 9th Baku World Forum:

“1. Yes, there is no Nagorno-Karabakh, because there is a Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) Republic, and it is a subject of international law, although it is not formally recognized at the international level.

2. The Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict has not been settled and will not be settled until Azerbaijan takes into account the immutable right of the indigenous people of Artsakh to self-determination.

3. The issue of international recognition (hence the status) of the Republic of Artsakh will be resolved sooner or later, and Artsakh will never be part of Azerbaijan.

4. It would be better if Aliyev thought more about the conscientious exercise of the powers granted to him by the Constitution of Azerbaijan, guaranteeing the rights of his own citizens (including Lezgins, Talysh, Avars, Tatars, Tats and other minorities) instead of "worrying" about the rights of Armenians.

5. Maybe Aliyev will suddenly remember what happened to more than 500,000 Armenians in Soviet Azerbaijan, or is there at least one Armenian in the territories of Artsakh occupied by Azerbaijan?

There are a number of other questions and answers addressed to Ilham Aliyev, but I will leave them for your presentation.”
