While we are all justifiably concerned about Ukraine, the US is taking the opportunity to sneak a federal digital vaccine card in.
Even worse, it is being driven by a coalition of tech companies. The kind I used to run strategy for. They know very well that they can make billions of dollars over the next 50 years by keeping this surveillance infrastructure in place.
This kind of thinking is exactly what got us private prisons. The large companies that run private prisons spend hundreds of millions of dollars lobbying for stiffer penalties so they can have more people in prison and make more money. That’s why the US has a greater percentage of the population in prison than China.
Now that big tech has figured out they can create a virtual prison using surveillance, the market size is much bigger.
