ليس كل من صعد المنبر يصبح عالماً
وليس كل أحد ظهر في التلفاز يصبح شيخاً
قال الشيخ ابن برجس - رحمه الله - :
《 في هذا الزمان اختل معيار كثير من العامة في تقييم العلماء فجعلوا كل من وعظ موعظة بليغة أو ألقى محاضرات هادفة أو خطب الجمعة مرتجلاً ، عالماً يرجع إليه في اﻹفتاء ويؤخذ العلم عنه ؛
وهذه رزية مؤلمة وظاهرة مزرية تطاير شررها وعم ضررها إذ هي من إسناد العلم إلى غير أهله وإذا وسد اﻷمر إلى غير أهله فانتظر الساعة 》.

Toute personne qui monte sur un minbar ne devient pas un savant et toute personne qui apparaît à la télévision ne devient pas un cheïkh
Le cheïkh ibn barjess - رحمه الله - disait :
"À cette époque, la norme de beaucoup de gens ordinaires dans l'évaluation des savants a changé, ils font alors de tous ceux qui prêchent un sermon éloquent ou donnent des conférences bénéfiques, ou des sermons improvisés du vendredi, un savant auquel on se réfère dans l’émission de fatwas et de qui on prend la science."
Et c'est un attribut ignoble et un phénomène misérable dont les maux et les méfaits se sont généralisés et répandus partout, et cela est dû au fait d'attribuer la connaissance à des gens qui n'en sont pas dignes, et si l'affaire est donnée à des gens qui n'en sont pas dignes, alors attendez l'Heure".

Not everyone who stands on the podium becomes a scholar
And not everyone who appears on TV becomes a Sheikh
Sheikh Ibn Barjas - may Allah have mercy upon him - said:
“In this time, the standard of many of the common people in evaluating the scholars has changed, so they make everyone who preaches an eloquent sermon or gives beneficial lectures, or gives improvised Friday sermons, they make him a scholar whom they refer back to in issuing fatwas and they seek knowledge from him. And this is a despicable attribute and wretched phenomenon which evils and harms had sparked everywhere, and it is because attributing knowledge to people who are not worthy of it, and if the matter is given to people who are not worthy of it, then wait for the Hour.”
