Despite recognizing a One China policy, the West regularly encourages Taiwan separatism, arming the Taiwan administration, and undermining Chinese sovereignty and territorial integrity in violation of international law; |

The Western media regularly and deliberately deceives the global public with their reporting, omitting the truth regarding Taiwan’s true status, instead depicting Taiwan as a “country” China is “bullying” with the West rushing to its “defense;”

Taiwan’s DPP claims the people on Taiwan must decide the island province’s future with the rest of China, however much of Taiwan’s “democratic” system is directed and determined by Washington for Washington’s interests, at the expense of Taiwan;

Why Ukraine’s 2024 Strategy Will Fail

Ukrainian President Vlodymr Zelensky laid out Ukraine’s 2024 strategy in a recent interview with The Economist;

The focus will be on “isolating” Crimea;

Crimea can be supplied entirely by sea and air, with any single port exceeding the capacity Russia required to sustain combat operations in Syria for 2015;

Without enough long-range missiles to attack all or at least most of Crimea’s ports and airfields and do so regularly, Russia will be able to maintain the flow of supplies for both the civilian population and Russia’s military presence on the peninsula;

Another popular strategy of “digging in” and “building” throughout 2024 is also disconnected from the realities of the conflict and both Ukraine’s and its Western sponsors’ capabilities;

Ukraine has already “dug in” since 2014 in frontline cities which Russia has nonetheless been able to displace Ukrainian forces and take these heavily fortified cities;

Russia continues conducting large-scale missile and drone strikes across Ukraine;

Ukrainian forces are depleted after a defeated summer-fall offensive with the West unable to adequately replace their losses;

The West is also unable to bolster Ukrainian air defense capabilities which are buckling under intense Russian strikes;

In response, Ukraine seeks to focus on optics-centric strikes on Belgorod as well as conduct other symbolic retaliation strikes deep inside Russia;

Western representatives have begun more vocally calling for the transfer of longer-range missiles and drones to Ukraine;

Despite the ability of these weapons to strike deep within Russia, they do not and will not in the foreseeable future exist in large enough numbers to match let alone exceed Russian missile production;

Between the US-sponsored erasure of Gaza and now a major terrorist attack inside Iran (targeting a cementary where US-assassinated Iranian General Qasem Soleimani is buried), public anger will make it increasingly difficult for Tehran to show restraint following an upcoming direct US and/or Israeli strike on Iran itself.

US policymakers for years admit their greatest fear in attempting to provoke Iran into war is that Tehran might not take the bait.

It appears the stage is being set to make it as politically difficult and costly as possible for Tehran to show restraint. This doesn't mean the US will succeed, just that they appear to be doing everything possible to improve their odds.

Washington sees the window closing on reasserting US hegemony worldwide, forcing it to commit to increasingly irrational, desperate and thus dangerous actions in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. Open / Comment

The US via Saudi Arabia already waged war on Yemen for years, including aerial bombardments and a ground invasion, both of which failed.

The US (and the UK) were heavily involved, choosing targets, shipping additional arms to Saudi Arabia, carrying out maintenance on Saudi weapons including warplanes, and even providing special forces on the ground.

The US, UK, and EU launching a military operation against Yemen now will unfold in a very similar manner, and expend weapons the US requires for its proxy war in Ukraine and its expanding military aggression in Asia-Pacific. Open / Comment
