Happy Monday, guys!Five things we learned last week:
1. Solana went down for the 5th time in 2022. Another
four-and-a-half-hour outage of Solana, and the network is struggling to live up to the “Ethereum killer” hype that caused its price surge.
2. Crypto exchanges laying off staff
. Gemini and South American crypto exchanges are firing employees. The industry is bracing for crypto winter, so the worst may be yet to come?
3. Arthur Hayes: the bottom is (almost) in. According to
Arthur Hayes, the worst is already over though. The BitMEX founder expects
$25,000 for Bitcoin to hold and prices to eventually skyrocket. Before that, we should expect heavy chop, he says.
4. Next OP token airdrop may be restricted. The OP airdrop was highly anticipated, but most addresses sold their bags quickly. That caused some in the community to call for the
exclusion of sellers in the next round.
5. Terra staff summoned by law enforcement
. Former
Terraform Labs staff was questioned by
South Korean law enforcement. It turns out that not everyone was in favor of launching UST, but Do Kwon went ahead anyway. History may repeat itself if the rumors of him launching another stablecoin are true.
