Graham Campbell has one of the worst attendance records at council meetings in Glasgow. He attended about 50% of the meetings he should have. He has shown contempt for the people of his ward by variously claiming that he had attended meetings when this was not true and that he had been unable to attend because the meetings clashed with other council meetings, also untrue. He shockingly also said that he was not paid enough for his council work to give up his time from other work. A councillor should be in the position for a sense of public duty, not to enrich themselves.

But then Campbell has already been found guilty of financial misdeeds in public office to enrich himself at the public's expense. He has a history as a "chancer" in political circles starting in the SSP and when their star waned quickly jumping to the SNP. He has used his ethnicity when challenged and attempted to also use it to build a powerbase within the SNP. He is am example of someone the SNP should drop but of course they won't.

On this day in 1752 the Appin Murder took place.

The Appin Murder was the assassination of Colin Roy Campbell, the Clan Campbell tacksman of Glenure, on 14 May 1752 near Appin in the west of Scotland. The murder occurred in the aftermath of the Jacobite Rising of 1745 and led to the execution of James Stewart of the Glens, often characterized as a notorious miscarriage of justice. The murder inspired events in Robert Louis Stevenson's 1886 novel Kidnapped.

Colin Roy Campbell of Glenure , nicknamed "The Red Fox", was the government-appointed factor to the forfeited lands of the Clan Stewart of Appin in north Argyllshire. During the Highland Clearances, a series of reprisals against Jacobite sympathizers in the aftermath of the rising of 1745, Campbell had ordered several evictions of members of Clan Stewart On 14 May 1752, Campbell was shot in the back by a marksman in the wood of Lettermore near Duror

On this day the Battle of Langside was fought on 13 May 1568 between forces loyal to Mary, Queen of Scots, and forces acting in the name of her infant son James VI. Mary’s short period of personal rule ended in 1567 in recrimination, intrigue, and disaster when, after her capture at Carberry Hill, she was forced to abdicate in favour of James VI, her infant son. Mary was imprisoned in Loch Leven Castle, while her Protestant half-brother, James Stewart, Earl of Moray, was appointed Regent on behalf of his nephew. In early May 1568 Mary escaped, heading west to the country of the Hamiltons, high among her remaining supporters, and the safety of Dumbarton Castle with the determination to restore her rights as queen. Mary was defeated and went into exile and captivity in England. The battle can be regarded as the start of the Marian civil war.

A vigil has taken place in the South Side in "honour" of the illegal mob action that stopped two illegal immigrants from being lawfully detained by Home Office workers. The vigil is the start of what is being called a "Festival of Resistance" where people will celebrate these illegal actions a year ago.

The vigil is a insult to the memory of Kriss Donald, the schoolboy kidnapped from Kenmure Street and brutally murdered by a racist Asian gang. While the left and its ethnic minions get together to honour this illegal act in Kenmure Street they have never taken any action to remember Kriss Donald. The people who are attending and organising this are a disgrace.

The SNP group at Glasgow Council now has 5 BAME Councillors representing it. The SNP has a policy of prioritising "New Scots", as it calls them, to stand over our Real Scots. One has to wonder who these "New Scots" will prioritise representing.

The leader of the BAME group in Glasgow is Graham Campbell, a man who has a history of dodgy financial dealing and has attended only 50% of his required meetings while claiming he is not paid enough to give up his time to represent the people of his ward. His partner, the SNP MP Anne McLaughlin, has constantly supported the interests of Campbell and ethnic minorities over the indigenous people of Scotland.

On this day in 563, he travelled to Scotland with twelve companions (said to include Odran of Iona) in a wicker currach covered with leather. According to legend he first landed on the Kintyre Peninsula, near Southend. However, being still in sight of his native land, he moved farther north up the west coast of Scotland. The island of Iona was made over to him by his kinsman Conall mac Comgaill King of Dál Riata, who perhaps had invited him to come to Scotland in the first place. His reputation as a holy man led to his role as a diplomat. There are also many stories of miracles which he performed during his work to convert the Picts, the most famous being his encounter with an unidentified animal that some have equated with the Loch Ness Monster in 565. He subsequently played a major role in the politics of the country. He was also very energetic in his work as a missionary, and, in addition to founding several churches in the Hebrides, he worked to turn his monastery at Iona into a school for missionaries.

Patrick Grady, the SNP North Glasgow MP, was found guilty of sexually harassing several young male SNP staffers by a Westmister Committee. But the SNP, a party that constantly goes on about rights, the me too movement and how everyone should be safe at work, did not take any substantial action against him.

In fact the SNP MP was not only allowed to keep his job as the SNP chief whip at Westminster but also to front a debate on harassment. The SNP also attempted to cover up his actions and the result of the investigation.

It appears that the SNP have yet again shown that they things they claim to care about they really only pay lip service to, and it's one rule for SNP members and another for the public.

Time for people to wake up to SNP hypocrisy and sleaze and vote these fake nationalists out.
