2022-04-12 11:55:33 On this day in 1567 James Hepburn 4th Earl of Bothwell went on trial in Edinburgh over allegations he was responsible for the murder of Queen Mary's consort Lord Darnley.

In February 1567, Lord Darnley. Darnley's father, the Earl of Lennox, and other relatives agitated for vengeance and the Privy Council began proceedings against Bothwell on 12 April 1567. Sir William Drury reported to Sir William Cecil, Secretary of State to Elizabeth I of England, that the Queen was in continuous ill-health "for the most part either melancholy or sickly". On the appointed day Bothwell rode magnificently down the Canongate, with the Earl of Morton and William Maitland of Lethington flanking him, and his Hepburns trotting behind. The trial lasted from noon till seven in the evening. Bothwell was acquitted

The next Wednesday, the Queen rode to the Estates of Parliament, with Lord Bothwell carrying the Sceptre, where the proceedings of Bothwell's trial were officially declared to be just according to the law of the land Open / Comment

This time in the ever-maligned Daily Record, which quotes another desperate SNP advocate for making True Scots a minority who claims we distributed our leaflets in Broughty Ferry because the SNP council candidate there is BAME.

These people are so consumed by their own self-importance they cannot see we are driven by a love of our own people not a hatred of others.

The SNP are happy for indigenous Scots to be a minority in Scotland and for us to be governed by New Scots whenever possible.

Patriotic Alternative is committed to raising awareness about our demographic replacement right across the whole of Scotland. This kind of bleating from the SNP exposes their position on the matter.

2022-04-11 23:15:47 Dundee used to have a strong reputation for journalism. Sadly those days are long gone judging by the latest biased article about our activities in the city.

Plenty quotes from those who want to replace the indigenous population with 'New Scots' but nothing from us.

Still, more people are now aware of our existence and the fact that we are campaigning against our demographic replacement as a people.

2022-04-11 17:17:18 Patriotic Alternative South West flew a message to the Etihad Stadium during the Man City vs Liverpool match yesterday which read “British to be a minority by 2066”

The "White British" are already a minority in many towns and cities in the UK, including our capital city, London.

Oxford Professor of Demographics, David Coleman, concludes that we are due to reach minority status in the UK by 2066, or sooner.

2022-04-11 16:40:33 Lorna Slater, the Canadian-born co-leader of the Scottish Green Party and SNP/Green alliance minister, has been criticised for comparing people who object to the Holyrood government's gender recognition plans to "racists" and "anti-Semites".

It appears that Slater may have breached the ministerial code and should be disciplined for her comments. Of course more than likely it will just be whitewashed by the Holyrood administration.

Slater is just another example of the politicians of the SNP/Green alliance who want to suppress free speech in Scotland. The liberal elite of this nation are anything but liberal when it comes to anyone who criticises the anti-White woke policies that they are trying to impose on the people of Scotland.

We need to see the population wake up to the authoritarianism of this government and the nightmare vision it has for our nation. We need to remove them from power. Open / Comment

2022-04-11 15:33:31 In the year to March 2021 the Scottish NHS spent £236 million on bank and agency staff to plug gaps in the NHS. This was a 11.3% increase on the year before and a 22.4% rise in agency staff alone.

Nursing staff in Scotland are struggling to cope with staff shortages across the NHS. Vacancies in the Scottish NHS are at an all-time high.

The SNP have allowed the NHS in Scotland to become dangerously understaffed and driven the staff within it to breaking point, with many experienced staff either leaving the service or considering leaving.

The SNP will yet again try to blame Westminster or COVID for this situation but as health is a devolved issue the blame must rest with the Holyrood government.

Years of mismanagement and limits on the numbers of nurses being trained every year have happened under the SNP and must be addressed. The hard-pressed staff deserve a better deal on pay and conditions from the SNP. There also needs to be a removal of the cap on the numbers of nurses and doctors being trained. Open / Comment

2022-04-11 15:07:30 On this day In 1951 the Stone of Destiny, which had been removed from Westminster Abbey on Christmas Day, 1950 by a group of Scottish students, was left on the altar at Abroath Abbey in the care of the Church of Scotland. The Stone was then taken back south of the border to Westminster Abbey.

The Stone of Scone - also known as the Stone of Destiny, and often referred to in England as the Coronation Stone - is an oblong block of red sandstone that has been used for centuries in the coronation of the monarchs of Scotland. It is also known as Jacob's Pillow Stone and the Tanist Stone.

Historically, the artefact was kept at the now-ruined Scone Abbey in Scone, near Perth, having been brought there from Iona by Kenneth MacAlpin circa 841 AD. After its forced removal from Scone during Edward I's invasion of Scotland in 1296, it was used in the coronation of the monarchs of England as well as the monarchs of Great Britain and latterly of the United Kingdom following the Treaty of Union.
