Starting from Monday citizens and residents will be able to visit Azerbaijan. All you need is a vaccination certificate and a PCR test no later than 72 hours before the departure.

2021-08-30 09:20:20 New Entry Rules Come into Force for the passengers travelling from Azerbaijan to Russia

As was written before starting from September 1, all passengers traveling on these flights must download “Traveling without COVID-19” mobile application to their smartphones. Then a scan of travelers passport as well as the result of PCR test for COVID-19 should be uploaded to the app.

The application is free and can be downloaded:

The application is optional for:
- the citizens of the Russian Federation
- the transit passengers traveling through Azerbaijan (subject to the availability of flight tickets and/or boarding passes along the entire route to the Russian Federation) and given they passed the test in the country of initial departure
- children or the older ones who do not use smartphones can provide a confirmation the QR code in the application on the smartphone of another passenger traveling together with them.

To recap, when traveling to Russia, PCR tests can only be taken in the authorized medical institutions.

2021-08-21 16:18:19 The national air carrier AZAL reminds the citizens of Azerbaijan traveling to Russia of the need to download a special application "Traveling without COVID-19" from September 1st.

The use of the application "Traveling without COVID-19" from July 25 became mandatory for people entering Russia from Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

From September 1, the application will become necessary when entering Russia from Azerbaijan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
Each country has laboratories connected to the application and test delivery points, a list of which is in the "Laboratories" section.

AZAL also warns about the necessity to have a PCR test certificate from approved clinics or laboratories for traveling to Russia. The list of these medical institutions will soon be announced on the official website of AZAL.

The list includes: Germany, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ireland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Canada, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Singapore, Slovenia, Slovakia and Greece.

It is mandatory to have a negative PCR test, made no earlier than 72 hours.

In addition to the test, citizens over 18 years old must have a COVID passport or a document about a recent illness.

Earlier, a similar decision was made for citizens and residences of Russia, Turkey, USA, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Great Britain, Israel, Hungary and Qatar. Open / Comment
