2022-01-03 16:58:57 Sometimes I wonder if grassroots is a kind of identity. Having been involved in it for a few years I have seen some amazing things transpire between individuals who form organizations that push back against injustices against those who are causing the frustration. Most of the pushbacks are because of politicians who have forgotten the meaning of their oath and what the Declaration of Independence fundamentally means.

I’ve seen legislation, health, and parent groups working around the clock along with other individuals, who have developed a name for themselves, all push back. I’ve seen the community come together as a result and it’s been incredible to watch.

But what happens if we replace these mistaken politicians who are the block to securing the intent of the Declaration of Independence? What will these groups do then? Will we have a need for them? Will individuals have a reason to get on social media and do calls to action or complaint/venting posts? The simple answer is no. So if the ultimate answer is to replace politicians who are problematic but there is more effort in fighting against the people in office, I ask why.

It’s good to keep in check any egos and be willing to spend energy towards the solution, even if it puts us out of an organization. Open / Comment
