What alien or extraterrestrial in their right mind would want to ‘talk’ to any of our ‘diplomats’ or ‘politicians’?

Big Question: If the ‘diplomats’ were told that the extraterrestrials at the meeting had a 100% full proof automatic lie detector and these ETs could also read the humans minds regarding evil deceit and it would be used at the meeting for both parties, would there still be talks?
