»The Second Fall of Saigon«
— In recent weeks, so believes the admin, most of you readers have seen, credulous or incredulous, the Afghan National Government fall pathetically quickly and retreat from its positions in the countryside towards the Capital.
Such a retreat had been so great that in less than a week 2/3 of the country now finds itself in the hands of its archrival, the Taliban, or, as it formally calls itself, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA), which advances towards the Capital, victorious and triumphant, as the US Govt & its NATO allies rush to evacuate its citizens & assets from Kabul as fast as possible, emulating the Saigon tragedy that once happened after the Betrayal by the US side towards the South Vietnamese Government.
In the end, decades of battle and generations of families both lost along with billions, if not trillions, of dollars spent to equip and arm the Afghan Government for nothing, but avoid a fate now seen.
The History, once again, forced to repeat itself.
