Listening to the prosecutor examine Rittenhouse and the obvious angle he was taking reminds you that the system is trying to set up a situation where simply being a White man prepared to defend yourself from attack makes you guilty for "provoking" or even for planning violence if and when you are attacked.

It's similar to the argument in the Cville case. Making plans to defend yourself should trouble occur is equated with conspiring to cause violence.

Why bring a gun unless you intend to use it? If you don't intend to use it, why bring it? If you know there will be trouble and you go and bring a gun, isn't it because you just want to shoot people? tc. etc. You can see the twisted logic of this.

This is a lose-lose-lose situation.

1. Go somewhere where trouble may occur prepared to defend yourself, trouble occurs and you defend yourself and are now held civilly or criminally liable. - you lose

2. Go somewhere where trouble may occur totally defenseless and get rekt. - you lose

3. Just don't go anywhere. - you lose

These are the three options the current legal system wants to leave White people with.
