Answer: What would you think if we entrusted you today with a secret which the other Vedes are still guarding and which should not be revealed by them under any circumstances? One day the tribe of the Vedes decided not to instruct any non-Vedes in the Vedic knowledge. They chose many rituals to keep their secrets, although the Vedes of that time knew very well that rituals were completely superfluous. When, after almost two hundred years, the Apycrians realised that their endeavour was not as promising as they had previously assumed, the Apycrians withdrew more and more, so that they did not promote the special tribe any further. They reduced their visits to the members of the Vedes more and more, until one day they announced that they would now not appear for a very long time…
