Answer: The Apycrian now had the full attention of the residents because all the residents witnessed the argument and felt personally attacked by the Apycrian. None of the residents were really aware why the Apycrian was so upset about the residents taking water from the drinking hole to clean their rags. All they had to do was to knead their rags vigorously in the water. They were supposed to add certain herbs to the water to get antibacterial effects, which they could not understand in depth until then. When they kneaded the rags for a long time, they were supposed to return the dirty water to the stream where they had previously taken it for purification. The process was quite simple and the Apycrians also emphatically said that the water from the stream should be used for this and that after purification, the water should be returned to the stream. The Apycrians ensured that some kind of well was constructed in the village community to provide fresh drinking water for the villagers…
