He worked as an artist at the studio for several years, then switched to freelance. At the end of the 20th century, he worked on commercials, karaoke videos and music videos of popular artists, then returned to animation. In 1996, Omori got his first job as an independent director at the same year Takahiro released the anime series "Baby and Me". In 1998, he created the animated series "Fancy Lala".
One of Omori's most popular projects was the anime "Natsume's Book of Friends", which was released from 2008 to 2017. In 2018, he released his full-length version "Natsume's Book of Friends

An event for the Bungo Stray Dogs franchise announced on Sunday that production on a new anime season has been green-lit. The returning main staff includes director Takuya Igarashi, series script supervisor and writer Yoji Enokido, character designer and chief animation director Nobuhiro Arai, and the animation studio BONES. The main cast members Yūto Uemura (Atsushi Nakajima), Mamoru Miyano (Osamu Dazai), Sumire Morohoshi (Kyōka Izumi), Kensho Ono (Ryūnosuke Akutagawa), and Kishō Taniyama (Chūya Nakahara) celebrated the news at Sunday's event.
The first television anime adaptation aired from April to June 2016. An anime film, titled Bungo Stray Dogs: Dead Apple, opened in Japan in March 2018.

Producer Adi Shankar confirmed to IGN on Friday that the animated series based on CAPCOM's Devil May Cry game franchise will have multiple seasons. Shankar and Alex Larsen (Yasuke) have completed writing the scripts for the first season of the series. The first season will have eight episodes and will feature the characters Dante, Vergil, and Lady. IGN stated the show will "reportedly" go into production in 2022, with no set release date yet.
