Costa Rican President Carlos Alvarado recently approved a new law aimed at attracting "digital nomads." The law will allow qualified foreign citizens to obtain a one-year visa, which can also be extended for another year.

Similar to the flower of a giant water lily from the Amazon, and named after it, Lilypad looks like a floating island with three hills rising above the surface of the water. In the center is an artificial lagoon that plays the role of ballast to ensure the stability of the city in the ocean

The completely self-sufficient city of Lilypad solves four main problems voiced by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD, OECD): climate, biodiversity, water and health.

Prague architectural studio Sculpt has presented a 43-square-meter 3D-printed house called Provoke - a structure that can be built in just 48 hours and that will float on water.

This 3D-printed house is also designed to be partially self-sufficient, with eco-friendly elements such as a green roof, a shower recirculation system and tanks for drinking, municipal and sewage water. In addition to its powers is the claim that it will emit up to 20% less CO2 than an equivalent concrete building.

The Prvok will be erected next month, built on a floating pontoon, with three relatively small rooms inside – a living room, a bedroom, a kitchen and a bathroom. All floor plans and exterior design will be fully customizable if you don't mind the asymmetrical 3D layered structure.
