The Artsakh Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case into the beating of an Azerbaijani military inhabitant of the Artsakh village of Aygestan.
According to the press service of the Sledkom, a resident of the village of Aygestan A.V. was captured by the Azerbaijani military around noon on December 29, 2021. The man got lost on the road from the village of Vardadzor to Askeran and found himself in the territory controlled by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. The Azerbaijani military who captivated him beat A.V., as well as put psychological pressure on him.
A resident of Artsakh was returned to the Armenian side through the mediation of Russian peacekeepers.
