Armenophobia in Azerbaijan is gaining momentum
This was stated by deputy of the ruling Civil Contract faction Arman Yegoyan at a meeting of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly Committee in Yerevan.
Commenting on the statements of Azerbaijani deputies about the multi-confessional nature of Azerbaijan, Yegoyan recalled that in the Soviet years more than 500,000 Armenians lived in this republic. "Where are these Armenians now, not counting the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh? Remember Sumgait, Baku... Do you want to convince yourself of the multicultural nature of Azerbaijan, or are you trying to convince others?" - the Armenian deputy addressed his Azerbaijani colleagues.
