Human rights activists managed to prove the fact of the capture of 20 Armenian servicemen, which Baku stubbornly denies, and they again appealed to the court. This was reported to SputnikArmenia by the representative of the interests of prisoners of war in the ECHR Siranush Sahakyan.

Now there are 3 categories of court cases: prisoners, missing persons and forcibly disappeared.

The latter category also refers to prisoners whose presence the Armenian side has already proved.

Azerbaijan must either explain what happened to them and whether they are alive, or the court will hold Baku accountable for the murder of these people.

Lawyers have already appealed to the court in the case of 20 missing soldiers, but the new appeal noted more violations on the part of Azerbaijan, which increases the chances of a favorable outcome.

150 prisoners have already returned to Armenia. According to official data, 38 people are still being held in Baku, but lawyers are talking about 80 more prisoners.
