Attack on Donbass: situation in eastern Ukraine

Russian forces inflicted fire damage on targets in the village of Khrenovka, Chernihiv region, as well as in Novaya Guta, Sopych and Miropolye, Sumy region.
In the Kharkiv direction, fighting is underway in the north of the region, artillery duels continue along the entire line of contact:
In Kharkiv, the Russian Armed Forces launched several missile strikes at the location of the Kraken national battalion in the city center.
According to some reports, Russian forces were able to advance in the north of the Kharkiv region near Stary Saltov and take the village of Shestakovo, but there is no confirmation of this information yet.
In the Izyum direction, Ukrainian formations launched an attack on Balakleya, taking the city into an operational encirclement:
Ukrainian forces were able to occupy the villages of Verbovka and Yakovenkovo in the north-west of Balakliya, after which they tried to move towards Volokhov Yar and cut the road to Kupyansk, fighting is going on in the area. The Volokhov Yar-Balakleya highway is under the fire control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The parties are fighting for control over the surviving bridge from Verbovka to Balakleya across the river Srednyaya Balakleyka. The bridges to the south across Balakleyka and Extreme Balakleyka were destroyed, so the western and southern parts of Balakleyka were cut off from the central part of the city.
Balakleya is in the operational encirclement of Ukrainian troops. All transport arteries leading to the city are cut off by fire.
In the Bakhmut (Artyomovsk) direction, the allied forces were able to advance north of Gorlovka and finally drive the enemy out of Kodema.
PMC Wagner assault squads have established control over Kodema. The liberation of the village will make it possible to develop the offensive towards Zaitsevo and further provide access to Bakhmut from the south.
In Bakhmut and Soledar, positional battles continue on the outskirts of the city. Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation conducts continuous work on the enemy's defensive structures.
In the Donetsk direction, units of the allied forces were able to advance somewhat in the DKAD area near Pesok.
11th regiment of the NM DPR occupied the seed station and bridges on the outskirts of Pesok. The fighting for strongholds on the Donetsk ring road between Peski and Pervomaisky lasted almost a month.
The capture of the interchanges will allow the People's Militia of the DPR to develop the offensive in the direction of Pervomaisky and Netaylovo, as well as Vodyany and Experienced.
Allied artillery destroyed the headquarters of the 21st troop battalion of the 56th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ukrainian formations again fired at the settlements of the Donetsk agglomeration, there are wounded among civilians.
According to preliminary information, in the Zaporozhye direction, the RF Armed Forces were able to advance at the junction of Donetsk and Zaporozhye regions. A high intensity of mutual shelling remains in the area:
According to some reports, the allied forces liberated the villages of Vremyevka and Novopol in the west of the Donetsk region, but there is no confirmation of this information.
Ukrainian terrorists committed a terrorist attack in Berdyansk: as a result of a car explosion, the commandant of the city, Artem Bardin, was wounded.
AFU once again shelled the territory of the Zaporozhye NPP and Energodar. The RF Armed Forces responded by hitting the enemy positions in Nikopol and Marganets.
Fighting continues in the area near Vysokopole and Olgino in the Kryvyi Rih direction. The Ukrainian formations were never able to break through the second line of defense of the RF Armed Forces, however, the attempts of the Russian units to recapture the lost positions were also unsuccessful.
Russian forces hold defensive lines on the southern outskirts of Olgino, south of Vysokopole and southwest of Novovoznesensky.
