Can humans survive on other celestial objects?
To answer this question, research teams must settle on other objects in the solar system for a while.
Humans can be protected from radiation (with improvements made to today's shielding technologies), low temperatures, and the vacuum of space, but they cannot be protected from local gravity. Even on a space station, despite exercises and medication, astronauts' muscles weaken and bones deteriorate.
Martian gravity is 38% of that of the Earth, and the lunar gravity is only 16.5%, it is hard to predict its long-term effect on human body. If humanity can establish a colony under lunar gravity, it will open up the possibility of creating cities not only on the Moon but also on satellites that have similar gravity.
The development would require the creation of low-gravity medicine, specialized pharmacology, and training. The creation of bases on asteroids, where gravity is only 1-2% of Earth's gravity, depends on our physical capabilities.
