He suggested that Cambodia and China need to invest more resources in Science, Tehnology, and Innovation. Both sides should effectively implement the cooperation agreements relating to STI. China should provide more technical and financial support to Cambodia in implementing STI Roadmap 2030. Technology transfer and innovation capacity building must get more attention and resource allocation. Cambodia-China cooperation on STI can be a role model in South-South STI cooperation. 2021-07-26 11:57:23 E-commerce refers to the production, distribution, marketing, sale or delivery of goods and services electronically. Due to the health safety risks posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, e-commerce has become more vital than ever in a developing economy like Cambodia. For this reason, the country has made significant efforts in advancing this sector by adopting the Law on Electronic Commerce and the Law on Consumer Protection. This paper illustrates the legal framework, strategy, and the need for e-commerce in Cambodia. It also offers policy recommendations on developing and encouraging broader adoption of e-commerce among the Cambodian population.

2021-07-26 08:31:27 Dr Chheang Vannarith, President of AVI, presenting a paper on Cambodia's public diplomacy at the virtual conference on public diplomacy in Asia 2021 organised by the Singapore International Foundation (SIF). He argues that Cambodia's public diplomacy is evolving, transitioning from a purely propaganda machine to a more "public dimension" of it by engaging different stakeholders and promoting a two-way conversation. Culural diplomacy has gained more traction after the establishment of the Asian Cultural Coucil in early 2019. Economic diplomacy has gained momentum after the release of economic diplomacy in early 2021. Peace diplomacy is also central to Cambodia's public diplomacy as the Kingdom has contributed more than six thousands peacekeepers under the UN framework, and the promotion of women's roles in peacekeeping operation. "Small country with big heart" has become the slogan of Cambodia's public diplomacy after the Kingdom welcomed the MS Westerdam cruiseship in February 2020. Open / Comment
