عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه، عن الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ‏"‏ إِنَّ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ يَحْفِرُونَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ حَتَّى إِذَا كَادُوا يَرَوْنَ شُعَاعَ الشَّمْسِ قَالَ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِمُ ارْجِعُوا فَسَنَحْفِرُهُ غَدًا ‏.‏ فَيُعِيدُهُ اللَّهُ أَشَدَّ مَا كَانَ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَتْ مُدَّتُهُمْ وَأَرَادَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَبْعَثَهُمْ عَلَى النَّاسِ حَفَرُوا حَتَّى إِذَا كَادُوا يَرَوْنَ شُعَاعَ الشَّمْسِ قَالَ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِمُ ارْجِعُوا فَسَتَحْفِرُونَهُ غَدًا إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى وَاسْتَثْنَوْا فَيَعُودُونَ إِلَيْهِ وَهُوَ كَهَيْئَتِهِ حِينَ تَرَكُوهُ فَيَحْفِرُونَهُ وَيَخْرُجُونَ عَلَى النَّاسِ فَيَنْشِفُونَ الْمَاءَ وَيَتَحَصَّنُ النَّاسُ مِنْهُمْ فِي حُصُونِهِمْ فَيَرْمُونَ بِسِهَامِهِمْ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَتَرْجِعُ عَلَيْهَا الدَّمُ الَّذِي اجْفَظَّ فَيَقُولُونَ قَهَرْنَا أَهْلَ الأَرْضِ وَعَلَوْنَا أَهْلَ السَّمَاءِ فَيَبْعَثُ اللَّهُ نَغَفًا فِي أَقْفَائِهِمْ فَيَقْتُلُهُمْ بِهَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ‏"‏ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّ دَوَابَّ الأَرْضِ لَتَسْمَنُ وَتَشْكَرُ شَكَرًا مِنْ لُحُومِهِمْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ سنن ابن ماجه - سنن الترمذي ٣٤٤٧،٤٠٨٠ حكم الحديث: صحيح

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Gog and Magog people dig every day until, when they can almost see the rays of the sun, the one in charge of them says: "Go back and we will dig it tomorrow." Then Allah puts it back, stronger than it was before. (This will continue) until, when their time has come, and Allah wants to send them against the people, they will dig until they can almost see the rays of the sun, then the one who is in charge of them will say: "Go back, and we will dig it tomorrow if Allah wills.' So they will say: "If Allah wills." Then they will come back to it and it will be as they left it. So they will dig and will come out to the people, and they will drink all the water. The people will fortify themselves against them in their fortresses. They will shoot their arrows towards the sky and they will come back with blood on them, and they will say: "We have defeated the people of earth and dominated the people of heaven." Then Allah will send a worm in the napes of their necks and will kill them thereby.'" The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, the beasts of the earth will grow fat on their flesh." Sunan Ibn Majah 4080

عن زينب ابنة جحش -رضي الله عنها- أنها قالت: اسْتَيْقَظَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنَ النَّوْمِ مُحْمَرًّا وَجْهُهُ يَقُولُ: ‏"‏ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ، وَيْلٌ لِلْعَرَبِ مِنْ شَرٍّ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ، فُتِحَ الْيَوْمَ مِنْ رَدْمِ يَاجُوجَ وَمَاجُوجَ مِثْلُ هَذِهِ ‏"‌‏.‏ وَعَقَدَ سُفْيَانُ تِسْعِينَ أَوْ مِائَةً‏.‏ قِيلَ أَنَهْلِكُ وَفِينَا الصَّالِحُونَ قَالَ: ‏"‏ نَعَمْ، إِذَا كَثُرَ الْخَبَثُ ‏"‌‏.‏ صحيح البخاري ومسلم حديث ٧٠٥٩ ، ٢٨٨٠

Narrated Zainab bint Jahsh: The Prophet (peace be upon him) got up from his sleep with a flushed red face and said, "None has the right to be worshiped but Allah. Woe to the Arabs, from the Great evil that is nearly approaching them. Today a gap has been made in the wall of Gog and Magog like this." (Sufyan illustrated by this forming the number 90 or 100 with his fingers.) It was asked, "Shall we be destroyed though there are righteous people among us?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Yes, if evil increased." Sahih al-Bukhari 7059

شرح الحديث ▾▿

يأجوجُ ومأجوجُ همُ الْقَوْمانِ اللَّذانِ بَنى عليهما ذو القَرنينِ السَّدَّ المذكورَ في قولِه تعالى: {فَأَعِينُونِي بِقُوَّةٍ أَجْعَلْ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَهُمْ رَدْمًا} [الكهف: 95]، وخُروجُهما مِن هذا الرَّدمِ أوِ السَّدِ علامةٌ مِن علاماتِ السَّاعةِ، وفي هذا الحديثِ تُخبرنا زينتُ بنتُ جحشٍ رضِي اللهُ عنها "أنَّ النَّبيَّ صلَّى الله عليه وسلَّم دَخلَ عليها فزِعًا يقول: لا إلهَ إلَّا اللهُ"، أي: دخلَ عليها خائفًا مُضطرِبًا يلهجُ لِسانُه بِكلمةِ التَّوحيدِ إِيذانًا ِبتوقُّعِ أمرٍ مكروهٍ يحدثُ ولا نجاةَ منه إلَّا بِالالتجاءِ إلى اللهِ والاستجارةِ بِسلطانِه «ويلٌ لِلعربِ مِن شرٍّ قدِ اقتربَ؛ فُتحَ اليومَ مِن ردْمِ يأجوجَ ومأجوجَ مثلُ هذه»، وحلَّقَ بِإصبعِه الإبهامِ والَّتي تليها، يعني: جَعلَ الإصبعَ السَّبَّابةَ في أصلِ الإبهامِ وضمَّها حتَّى لم يَبْقَ بينَهما إلَّا خَللٌ يسيرٌ، والمعنى أنَّه لم يبْقَ لِمجيءِ الشَّرِّ إلَّا اليسيرُ مِنَ الزَّمنِ، فلمَّا سمعَتْ زينبُ بنتُ جَحْشٍ ذلك قالت: يا رسولَ الله، أَنَهْلِكُ وفِينَا الصَّالحونَ؟ فقال لها صلَّى الله عليه وسلَّم: «نَعم، إذا كَثُرَ الخَبَثُ» والخَبَثُ: هو الفُسوقُ والفجورُ والمعاصي، ثُمَّ يُبعثُ كلٌّ على نِيَّتِه، وإنَّما خَصَّ العربَ بِالذِّكر؛ لأنَّهم أوَّلُ مَن دَخلَ في الإسلامِ؛ ولِلإنذارِ بأنَّ الفِتنَ إذا وقعتْ كان الهلاكُ أسرعَ إليهم.
