Mainstream says that this is all due to the climate change, some people even go as far as saying it's the prophecy, a biblical flood but I wouldn't go that far as we now know that this is weather control aka HAARP technology. The manipulation of climate is used to destabilize the economy, ecosystem and agriculture.
This is exactly the same thing which happened to Tartaria, popularly called mudflood, a disaster that occurred in the 19th century which flooded the Earth with water and mud.
