European officials were virtually powerless to contain Telegram, the publication said and has requests to remove controversial content, and propose strengthening measures against Telegram, which is not subject to European legislation.
By "controversial content" they mean things like "conspiracies", migrations to the EU, conflict in the Middle east, pro-Russian content, etc..
