Does reading in dim light damage your eyesight?
The eyes don't really like reading in dim light - that's a fact. In low light, you have to strain your eye muscles and stare more intently at the text.
Because of this, blink frequency becomes lower, and the mucous membrane becomes drier. As a result, your eyes tire more quickly.
Reading in low light is really uncomfortable. But it does not lead to any irreversible consequences for the visual system.
