- The center-right New Democracy party won in today's Greek elections, taking almost every electoral district in the country. Syriza, their leftist opponents, won one seat in the northeast; however, due to Greece's proportional representation system, they retained 86 seats in the country's legislature - New Democracy are on 121 out of 300, leaving them the largest party.
The nationalist Greek Solution party took 15 seats, while the Communist Party received 22.
