EASY FOR THE ONE FOR WHOM ALLĀH MAKES IT EASY
Imām al-Sā'dī (رحمه الله) wrote,
"For abandoning aiding one's own soul through speech or action is from the most difficult of affairs upon it. And having patience upon harm, pardoning, forgiving and returning (harm) with benevolence is even harder. However, it is easy for the one for whom Allāh makes it easy, and (for the one) who strives against his soul to acquire this quality and who seeks aid from Allāh upon that. Then when the servant tastes the sweetness of that and finds its (positive) effects, he will adopt it with an open chest and will relish it."
