The latest Telegram beta version 8.5.0 comes with a bunch of minor improvements. For example, now, after opening a link to navigate to a channel, you can long-press on the back button. It will show a context menu with a list of your recent chats and channels you can navigate back to.

When you will head over to the Snapmap and select either places or friends, you will see a list at first. Now you can scroll over and the top place will appear on the map, confirmed along by the haptic feedback. The same works for your contacts where you will be able to see a heatmap of the nearby area.
