Actually, I think I know exactly who needs to hear this.
When I posted this on Twitter, a lot of people jumped into the comments to mention various wars, thinking they'd really done something.
They missed the point.
Emergency - a serious, unexpected, and often dangerous situation requiring immediate action.
Crisis - a time of intense difficulty or danger.
Contrary to how you might ATTEMPT to define it, a world war is not an 'emergency'.
Emergencies don't last for 3 years.
But wars do.
It's actually ironic that so many have, in fact, by imperiously pointing out the fact that many wars have lasted for longer than three years, in what they believed to be some clever attempt to disprove the point here, simply served to further prove my point.
This is a war.
