When I posted this on Twitter, a lot of people jumped into the comments to mention various wars, thinking they'd really done something.

They missed the point.

Emergency - a serious, unexpected, and often dangerous situation requiring immediate action.

Crisis - a time of intense difficulty or danger.

Contrary to how you might ATTEMPT to define it, a world war is not an 'emergency'.

Emergencies don't last for 3 years.

But wars do.

It's actually ironic that so many have, in fact, by imperiously pointing out the fact that many wars have lasted for longer than three years, in what they believed to be some clever attempt to disprove the point here, simply served to further prove my point.

2022-01-08 16:53:27 For TWO LONG YEARS we have fought for every single ordinary person refused an exemption, refused the chance to be with their loved ones, to spend time with sick children and dying family members. I have lobbied politicians. I have protested with activists and freedom warriors. I have signed petitions. I have organised campaigns. I have flooded social media. I have penned thousands of emails. I have called offices and demanded answers. With no result.

We NEED these high profile people with influence to draw attention to the unfairness, to the inconsistency, to the absolutely despicable nature of these shitty rules. We need people like Novak. We need the global media attention. We need this to go all the way at the top.

We shouldn't be demanding that MORE people follow the rules to make it 'consistent'. We should be demanding that the rules themselves are overturned. We should be using EVERY possible method and angle to our advantage to do so - even if it means we need a wealthy sportstar to help us do so. The rules don't need consistent enforcement. The system needs changing.

It's not ME that needs to 'look at the bigger picture' for talking about Novak. It's YOU that needs to look at the bigger picture, for not seeing its significance, and how important this is for the ordinary, 'little' people. Open / Comment

2022-01-08 06:50:57 If the majority of the population is double vaccinated, and the majority of people getting tested are vaccinated, and the majority of venues require proof of vaccination for entry, and the unvaccinated are being further restricted and locked down, then it is statistically impossible for this to be a 'pandemic of the unvaccinated', or for the unvaccinated to be the primary spreaders.
