I ask that you read this message in its entirety, as it discusses violations of ethics, and violation of South Carolina Law for members of our Beaufort County GOP leadership.
 
As a resident, taxpayer and registered voter of Beaufort County,South Carolina, I am reaching out to demand a full investigation into the unethical and potentially illegal actions and practices of the Beaufort County GOP Chairman Kevin Hennelly.  I would also like to note that these issues have been escalated to Mr. Hennelly and the GOP at the time  of the infractions by myself, and several other residents and voters of Beaufort County.  Each time, those escalations have been ignored. 
 
The most recent and blatant examples of the unethical and potentially illegal actions of Mr. Hennelly are as follows:
 
• Endorsing and supporting a candidate, Willie Turral, who appears to have a criminal history and criminal record in Georgia.  This alleged criminal history was ignored by Kevin Hennelly.
• Endorsing and supporting a candidate that posted a video of himself, appearing to use illegal drugs.  Kevin was provided this video, and refused to acknowledge the actions of Willie Turral in the video, and continues to endorse and support Willie Turral.

• Endorsing and supporting a candidate that posted a video of himself, using anti-police and radical type behavior and statements, with potential to incite violence or civil unrest.  Kevin was provided this video, and refused to acknowledge the actions of Willie Turral in the video, and continues to endorse and support Willie Turral.
• Endorsing and supporting a candidate that posted a video of himself, supporting a domestic terrorist organization in Beaufort County, using radical type behavior and statements, with potential to incite violence or civil unrest .  Kevin was provided this information, and refused to acknowledge the actions of Willie Turral in the video, and continues to endorse and support Willie Turral.
• Endorsing and supporting a candidate that posted on his own social media (Facebook), support of a domestic terrorist organization in Beaufort County, using radical type behavior and statements, with potential to incite violence or civil unrest.  Kevin was provided this information, and refused to acknowledge the actions of Willie Turral in the video, and continues to endorse and support Willie Turral.
• Allowing an individual to register to run for an elected position that does not have a valid identification, which is illegal in South Carolina.  Willie Turral has admitted in this video that he does not possess an identification that would be needed to complete a bank transaction, and this would also be an identification needed to validate eligibility to run for an elected position.

• Endorsing and supporting a candidate that posted on his own social media (Facebook), racist and radical views, with the potential to incite violence or civil unrest in Beaufort County.  Kevin was provided this information, and refused to acknowledge the actions of Willie Turral in the video, and continues to endorse and support Willie Turral. 2022-06-08 22:02:17 • Refusal to invite and include potential GOP candidate, Katie Arrington to certain scheduled events.  By doing so, registered voters are not able to see all options that are available to them, and cannot make informed decisions on the best candidate for Beaufort County and South Carolina.  This was brought to the attention of Kevin Hennelly and was ignored. This was seemingly done to sway the voter's choices toward the candidate he wants to place into office.
• Refusal to invite and include potential GOP candidate, David Cadd to certain scheduled events.  By doing so, registered voters are not able to see all options that are available to them, and cannot make informed decisions on the best candidate for Beaufort County and South Carolina.  This was brought to the attention of Kevin Hennelly and was ignored. This was seemingly done to sway the voter's choices toward the candidate he wants to place into office.
• Refusal to invite and include potential GOP candidate, JoJo Woodward to certain scheduled events.  By doing so, registered voters are not able to see all options that are available to them, and cannot make informed decisions on the best candidate for Beaufort County and South Carolina.  This was brought to the attention of Kevin Hennelly and was ignored.   This was seemingly done to sway the voter's choices toward the candidate he wants to place into office.
• Refusal to invite and include potential GOP candidate, Keith Blandford to certain scheduled events.  By doing so, registered voters are not able to see all options that are available to them, and cannot make informed decisions on the best candidate for Beaufort County and South Carolina.  This was brought to the attention of Kevin Hennelly and was ignored.   This was seemingly done to sway the voter's choices toward the candidate he wants to place into office.
• GOP members such as Xiodan (member of Kevin Hennelly’s team) posted “selections” for seats on the ballot on social media sites such as Facebook.  This, in conjunction with not inviting candidates to scheduled events has seemingly been done to impact the selections of the voter’s and sway voters to the candidates that the Beaufort County GOP desires to win the elections.
• Scheduled and held an event during the week of April 10, 2022.  The event was for parents to meet candidates for the South Carolina School Superintendent, but was being held during Spring Break when many parents are on vacation or otherwise not available.  This “conflict” was escalated to Kevin Hennelly and he was asked to reschedule the event when parents could attend, and that request was ignored and refused.  As a result, the parents of Beaufort County have not been able to meet and interview their candidates for the most important position regarding their children.
 
Based on the items listed above, it is clear that Kevin Hennelly does not have the best interests of the registered voters in Beaufort County in mind, and it is also clear that Kevin Hennelly is violating many ethical standards, if not several laws.  As the Beaufort County GOP Chair, Kevin Hennelly has an obligation under the codes of ethics, as well as State and Federal election laws that he must follow.  It is clear that Kevin Hennelly has not been operating with these rules and guardrails in place, and I am asking for an immediate investigation into his actions.  I am also asking that he is placed on suspension in his role during the investigation, and remain suspended until the completion of that investigation. 
 
The citizens of Beaufort County demand more from our GOP party leaders.  The citizens of Beaufort County demand more from the Office of the Attorney General, as well as the South Carolina Election Commission.
