Keep in mind...

When Ukraine is done with this offensive, what are they replacing their losses with? What will they have to follow up on this push with? Or to even consolidate what they gained?

The idea that because Ukraine is making gains today they will continue making gains indefinitely ignores their fatal logistical and sustainment issues.

Another reality: Russia is not all-powerful. Its forces (currently levels in Ukraine) are not capable of fighting Ukraine's current all-in offensive toe-to-toe.

Russia IS capable of preserving itself while taking a heavy toll out on Ukrainian forces until Ukraine exhausts itself and the mobilization begins shaping the battlefield.

Warfare is a matter of patience and logic over emotions and pride.
