Lumber prices have been rebounding strongly since August and the surge is even greater during November and December. When prices of certain thing pushes up, it is generally due to an increase in demand or a drop in supply or both.
Demand for lumber had seen improvements due to greater demand for housing as well as renovations. The supply of lumber had dropped due to recent flooding in Canada which forced producers to curb shipments.
