Twitter fined $150 million over disclosure of user data

The U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission issued a joint statement on Twitter: the social network will pay $150 million for disclosing personal data of its users.

Twitter executives misled users about their use of personal data from May 2013 through September 2019.
